Join Fountain Hills Community Services for the 34th Annual Turkey Trot 5K Run & Fitness Walk on Thanksgiving morning, November 28. This valley-wide favorite runs around the world-famous fountain at Fountain Park. We offer something for everyone! You can choose from a 5K timed run or a 1.5-mile fitness walk. Be sure to dress up in your favorite Thanksgiving-themed costume to enter our Costume Contest. Your registration includes the traditional long-sleeved t-shirt.

The race starts at 7:15 am on the Avenue of the Fountains, just East of Verde River Dr.

AWARDS: Be sure to stay for the awards ceremony at 8:15 AM. Located near the Start Line.

Pre-registration is REQUIRED.
There will be NO ONSITE REGISTRATION on the event day.

Packet Pick Up is Monday-Wednesday, November 25-27 at the Community Center located at 13001 N La Montana Dr, Fountain Hills, AZ 85268. Times listed below.
The Community Center will be closed on Race Day. Please plan accordingly.
Be sure to stay for the Thanksgiving Parade that goes along Saguaro Blvd and the Avenue of the Fountains. The parade starts at 9:30 AM.

NEW for 2024 - FINISHER MEDALS!

All 2024 Turkey Trot finishers, 5K and Fitness Walk, will receive a finisher medal as they cross the finish line. Please note that these medals will only be available at the finish line and cannot be picked up early or after the race.

FAQ's

  • All registrations are done through ChronoTrack
    • Please register HERE. If customers can't register at home, they can register at the front desk on the 2nd floor of Town Hall. Credit cards are the only method of payment. Onsite registration will be available at Swag Snag but not on the day of the run.
  • When and where can runners get their bib and shirt?
    • The runner's bib and shirt can be picked up at the Community Center Monday through Wednesday, November 25-27, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. during SWAG SNAG. There will NOT be bib or T-shirt pick-up on Race Day. Participants must bring their bibs, or they will not be timed on race day.
    • We will stay open until 7 pm on Monday and open early, at 1 pm on Wednesday for those needing extra time to pick up their packet.
  • When is the last day to register?
    Late Registration (starting November 4)
    *5K – $40 per runner,
    *$25 per runner 12 & Under
    *1 Mile Fitness Walk – $25 per walker
    Late LATE Registration (starting November 18)
  • *5K – $45 per runner,
    *$30 per runner 12 & Under
    *1 Mile Fitness Walk – $30 per walker
    • NO onsite registration*. Pre-registration is required.
  • Do I need to ask the participant for their shirt size?
    • No, we order shirts far in advance but, we will have shirt sizes from a Youth Small to an Adult 3XL. We will likely have a shirt in your size.
  • Where should runners park?
    • Parking in the Town Hall/Community Center parking lot is encouraged; however, the lot will be closed while the race is in progress. Once all runners are off the street, the lot will open up for exit traffic.
    • For additional parking, Plot 208 behind the businesses on the Avenue of the Fountains is ideal.
  • Where is the parade?
    • The parade will go from the corner of Saguaro Blvd and Parkview. The route then turns onto Avenue of the Fountains and continues up the Avenue and back down to Saguaro. The parade ends at Saguaro and El Lago. The parade begins at 9:30 am.
  • Where will the awards ceremony be held?
    • The awards will be held at the Start/Finish line on the AOTF. We will begin the ceremony at approximately 8:15 a.m.
  • Can I run the race with my pet?
    • To ensure the safety of all runners, we ask that you leave all pets at home.
  • Where does the race start?
    • Avenue of the Fountains, just East of Verde River Dr.
  • Can I bring my children?
    • All participants walking or running the course are required to register.
